Let it snow!!!

Now that Lauren's birthday, my birthday, and Christmas is over ( I will be posting pictures of our big day soon) I finally had a break and was able to go out in the snow with my hubby and girls! We have had SOOOO much snow lately. I think that we had about 2 feet in the last week and a half! My girls love to go out and play in it, and I love watching them through the windows of my warm house. Today it was finally warm enough for me to venture outside. We had so much fun!!! Because we live in a cul-de-sac (sp?) the big plows come in and gather up all the snow and pile it out in the middle of the cul-de-sac. It makes a huge mountain that is as tall as the houses, and the neighborhood kids get their sleds and go sledding, and build forts in the smaller snow banks. It keeps the kids entertained for hours....This is the first year that Lauren joined the big kids in the fun! So here is proof that snow can be fun!

By the way! I have to give a HUGE thank you to Kimberly Smith for making these awesome frames that I use!!! THANK YOU!!!!

Happy 3rd Birthday Lauren!!!

I know...I khow... something important must have happened in my life for me to sit down again and actually blog something. But it is true... something wonderful has happened in our little family... Our little preemie Lauren celebrated her 3rd birthday yesterday. We were so lucky to be able to go to Salt Lake City and visit with friends and family for it. All day on her birthday she got to play with her cousins and her Aunt Kristen. We had so much fun putting together her small little party. The only 2 things that were requested by her are to 1) have a rainbow cake and 2) to get a baby doll for her birthday. Well, thanks to Aunt Kristen helping me with the cake and Gramma Dinsmoor supplying the baby doll, she had the perfect day. She was so funny. She had the same look on her face with every present she opened up... isn't it adorable? The other funny part of her birthday is when she opened up her gift from Gramzy which was Cinderella bubble bath... she wanted to stop right then and there to take a bath. She said she would get to the rest of her gifts later... so without further adou.... here she is the birthday girl herself...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN! YOU'VE COME A LONG WAY AND I LOVE YOU!!!

How long has it been???

It has been such a CRAZY summer! I can hardly believe it! I am going to try and be better at blogging. I have be as my daughter says " super-duper" busy lately. Business has been great and family outings have been amazing! I thought that I would begin my resolution of bloggin better with a few events that have happened in the last week or two.

First off... my oldest daughter Emma has decided it was time to grow-up! I can hardly believe it!!! She started Kindergarten this year! I think it is a lot easier for me than most moms who send their kid to school for the first time, because Emma was going to preschool at the Elementary school last year. But still... WOW! It's hard to swallow. My youngest, Lauren who is 2 almost 3 is haveing a terrible time with it. She just can't understand why she can't go to school with the sister that she does EVERYTHING with. Even when we were walking Emma to her first day of school, Lauren had to wear an old backpack of Emma's just so she could be like her big sister.

So the next huge thing that has happened is Emma lost her FIRST tooth! I couldn't believe it! I thought to myself..." I can't be old enough to have a kid losing her teeth!" But Emma proved me wrong. She lost it during church last sunday...then on Wednesday... she decided to tell me that her other front bottom tooth is loose! AGGGHHH! She's growing up too fast! Next thing I know, she'll be wanting her friends over for sleepovers!!! Anyways, I thought I would share a few of the pictures I took of 'my little girl'...

Changes for In the Moment Photography

Now that business is really picking up, I feel that it is time to make some adjustments that I feel will benefit both you the client and myself... so here it goes...

NEW CHANGES

1. Sitting Fee is due at the time of the photo session. No exceptions. Also a $50 non refundable deposit is also due at the time of the photo session. This $50 deposit will be put toward prints you wish to purchase. It is also to ensure payment for my time that I put in customizing the pictures for your family.

2. Clients will only have 2 weeks after the first viewing to upload their images in the proofing area. This equals it out so that everyone has the same amount of time to view their pictures.

3. I am now able to accept credit cards.

4. 30 days after the pictures have been viewed by both the client and myself, I will put your pictures in an archive. If you wish to still purchase pictures after the 30 days, there will be a $25 archive fee added to the cost of the prints you purchase. This fee may be waived if circumstances permit it.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at anytime.

New website is launched!

Thank you so much for being patient with me while I am launching my new website. So what do you guys think of it??? Do you like this one better than the other one? I sure hope so. With this new website many things will stay the same and many things are changing.

One of the things that has not changed is for the clients that already have a password to view their personal gallery will have the same password. I will contact you if anything changes.

There are a few things that will be changing however. I plan on putting these changes on my website as well, but as for now my blog is the only way to see the new changes.

Thanks again for the patience while I am working on this new website. You have been amazing!!!!

Wow! this is my first time having a blog!!! Exciting huh? well, I guess this way you can see some updated pictures that I do, and then I can explain them a little better than on my website. We will have to see how this goes. I might be just as surprised as you are. I am not very good at keeping up with these kinds of things. Well, I guess for a better introduction of myself....

My name is Shawna, I started my photography busines a year ago this week! I know scary right? I can't believe it has been that long. I have learned so much! I have to give so much credit to my friend in Twin Falls, for helping me through this. He probably didn't understand the chore he was taking on when he decided to help me out. But I am so thankful that he did.

I have such a wonderful family. My husband Jeff is the best guy in the world. He is so good to me, and is such a wonderful father to my two girls. Emma is 5 and Lauren is 2. I will have to have a seperate post for each of them. They are the joy in my life, even if I don't know it all the time.
